Story:
Flare originally came from Monster Island, but the egg that contained him made it into the forest of a summer camp that Matt was attending. At age 15, Matt found Flare's egg and took care of it since his parents were no where to be found. When it hatched, Flare and Matt became good friends. Flare has a IQ of 200 and can talk normally, even though he is a 1-year-old. Matt, however, had to leave the camp and Flare couldn't come because he was considered to be a pet. A few minutes later, Flare met Kirb and he explained what happened. Afterwards, Kirb and Flare went together to find Matt and they reunited with their old friend.
